Storify has become one of the best ways to create stories from social media — the startup says it has been used by 22 of the top 25 news sites in the United States, and that its users have curated a total of more than 3 million social objects. Now, you can do that curation from your iPad.

The company was already mobile, in the sense that stories (which are essentially timelines of content from Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and more) created with Storify tools could be viewed on smartphones and tablets. But with the new Storify iPad app, you can do more than look at a story — you can create one on an iPad, too. In fact, co-founder and CEO Xavier Damman argues that this may be the first great app for content creation (rather than consumption) on the iPad.

Creata da Paul Glover nel 1991, la moneta ha raggiunto una grande diffusione, scambiata da una comunità di migliaia di persone, tra cui 400 imprenditori per un giro d’affari di 105mila dollari.

Sono stata io a volerlo. Mi fa sorridere il moralismo della gente, non lo tirano... fuori per il nudo in sé, ormai ovunque, ma per quello non perfetto. We all know that Big Data is the hottest sector in IT at the moment. I’ve been covering this market since it started so I’m so excited by the recent new market size numbers.  But the question on everyone’s mind is just how big is the Big Data market? Open source analyst firm Wikibon provided the answer this week in a groundbreaking report that pegs the current Big Data market at just over $5 billion in total factory revenue.

Further, Wikibon forecast the Big Data market will grow at an astounding CAGR of 58% between now and 2017, hitting the $50 billion within five years. Well, that should quiet the doubters that claim Big Data is all hype and no substance.

At Facebook's core is the social graph; people and the connections they have to everything they care about. Historically, Facebook has managed this graph and has expanded it over time as we launch new products (photos, places, etc.). In 2010, we introduced an early version of Open Graph, an extension of the social graph, via the Open Graph protocol, to include 3rd party web sites and pages that people liked throughout the web. We are now extending the Open Graph to include arbitrary actions and objects created by 3rd party apps

Well, there's a reason it's not called Dude-terest. The latest darling of the up-and-coming social sharing space, Pinterest, has experienced rapid growth in both users and industry buzz in the last few months. If you had a sneaking suspicion that the majority of those users happen to be young females, you were right.

Pinterest's users are 80% women, according to recent data from Google Ad Planner, as presented by Ignite Social Media. The site is biggest among the 25-34 age range, followed by 35-to-44-year-olds. These site's popularity among people in their late 20s and early 30s is illustrated (quite literally) by the proliferation of images related to wedding planning and home decor.
